In a year where change and chaos have become the norm, one thing remains a constant – the Bearcats among the nation's best.
Street & Smith's 2020 College Football Preview ranked Northwest Missouri State University second behind only West Florida in their preseason top 25.
The 'Cats posted a 12-2 mark in 2019, won two playoff games, and reached the NCAA Division 2 quarterfinals. The club brings back 16 starters, including four of five members of a dominant offensive line.
A member of that line, senior left tackle Tanner Owen, was named to the Street & Smith Preseason Division 2 All-America Team.
Central Missouri is the only other MIAA squad to make the preseason top 25. The Mules are ranked 11th.
